Technology publication The Verge contacted Nintendo to clarify whether the newly announced Nintendo Switch (OLED model) features any new technology beneath the hood. The Kyoto-based company clarified that the Nintendo Switch (OLED model) does not feature a new CPU or include any additional RAM than the current models. What you do get is a newer OLED screen for better picture quality when playing the Switch in handheld mode, better audio, a new stand system, and more internal storage. Nintendo has confirmed to The Verge that there are no major internal changes to the CPU or memory. “Nintendo Switch (OLED model) does not have a new CPU, or more RAM, from previous Nintendo Switch models,” says a Nintendo spokesperson.
