Welcome to Box Art Brawl, a series in which regional box art varies by fighting alone to find out what is the highest midi-chlorian value.
Last week Kirby returned from Dream Land for Adventure on the Wii and it was decided that the angry North American cover was the best, Japan coming in second and the European version of Europe behind.
This week, coinciding with the release of Episode IX: The Awakening of Skywalker in cinemas, returning to Episode I with one of the best Star Wars games ever made, Star Wars Song I: Racer for Nintendo 64. It has already made the podium in all of our Star Wars games released on Nintendo consoles, but does it have the power to go into the dungeon and deal with it? self
Let's take a look at the highlights of the Boonta Eve Classic and take a look at the launch plan …
Europe
What we like about this cover is how it is attacked. The great posters of the Drew Struzan Star Wars compilati on are amazing (though let's not talk about how the covers of each new home format release cycle treat the look more like a photo collage). for the rest. It works because it's so different from the standard Star Wars game box art.
Without the title, Watto may have been the most visible person, who came in with a black background behind the logo, but has been featured prominently. On the left are the face and last hat of the day Anakin Skywalker, with his main enemy Sebulba on the right, partially hidden by the entrance signs. At the bottom are podracers that speed from left to right.
We admit when boxing art does away with our expectations, and we were expecting more explosions here.
North America
The North American variant uses the same basic materials, but hits a large red stripe down the side of the lid, separating the detection signals. You also get an Expension Pak image instead of an icon.
The size of the logo title has been increased and the planted Ani and Sebulba are just leaving Watto – or maybe his Force ghost? – in between. The pots are still there and are shining brightly at the bottom.
Obviously, they are very similar, but there are plenty of subtle differences. Unpleasant red veins put a splash of color on the cover, though we're not sure it was necessary.
Japan
The Japanese version goes in a different, traditional way. He found Anakin at the top fitted with flags and a hot explosive action below. The rainbow-colored cover is sure to catch the eye, though we probably prefer the subtlety of others. Nothing & # 39; s getting & # 39; here – it's just the pods – just in your face, the art of the STAR WARS VIDEO GAME cover door.
Great! We don't like it, but it's certainly more interesting than synthetic methods. But what we think is not important.
Which of the three pilots does your race then? Click the one that fires your engines and hit the & # 39; Vote & # 39; below to get your quick pick of the start line and, hopefully, onto the podium:
It all comes from the Boonta Eve Classic – we'll clean up the Quadinaros & # 39; s in danger. We'll catch you next in another round of Box Art Brawl.
