Take-Two Interactive Software is one of them. The company confirmed that during the fourth fiscal quarter of last year its net income saw a growth of 41% with 760.5 million dollars, compared to the 539.0 million dollars reported in 2019. Consumer expenses (which includes expenses in virtual currencies, additional content, and in-game digital purchases) increased by 40% and are part of 54% of total net earnings.
These increases in the last fiscal quarter of 2019-2020 are due in part to NBA 2K20, NBA 2K19, Grand Theft Auto Online, Borderlands 3, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, Social Points mobile games, WWE SuperCard, and WWE 2k20.
Digital sales earnings also grew 54% to $ 634.7 million, 83% of total net earnings. This is mainly due to Grand Theft Auto Online, Grand Theft Auto V, NBA 2K20, NBA 2K19, Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online, Borderlands 3, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, Social Point mobile games, WWE SuperCard and WWE 2K20 .
