Not long ago we learned that the new Shin-Chan video game announced a few months ago will be launched in the West and now those interested in this launch continue to receive more content, apart from its 3D movie.
We have a curious detail from the next game. Remember that his full name is Shin-Chan and Snowy in Coal City
When asked in a recent meeting with Nintendo Life For the technical section, the developer of the title Kay Ayabe responded the following:
From a performance standpoint, Coal Town feels much smoother on Switch than the previous game. Could you talk to us about how the team achieved this?
We are not looking for a high frame rate like modern games. This approach has been consistent since Me and the Teacher on Summer Vacation because our goal was to replicate the texture of a telev ision anime.
In Japanese anime production, there is a technique called “limited animation,” in which approximately 8 frames per second are used to express the movement of 24 frames. It was originally introduced for efficiency reasons, but is also a contributing factor to the unique movement and rhythm of Japanese animation. We tried 60fps in pre-production, but the fluidity didn’t feel natural, so we ultimately decided that around 30fps was the best option.
