Gaming website Gematsu reports that the next game Square Enix plans to remaster in the Final Fantasy series is a PS One title, Final Fantasy IX. Square Enix has been rumored to be working on the project for a while now, but Gematsu is very good at the rumor. In the game, Zidane and the Tantalus Theater Troupe kidnap Princess Garnet, who is the heir of Alexandria, and together Zidane and the crew embark on a magical journey. The game was originally released in 2000 and is available on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
