Game Informer had some time with the intriguing 2D adventure Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and wrote an informative hands-on review, as well as interviewing key staff about the project, which clearly didn’t come down from Ubisoft. Instead, a dedicated team with expertise was assembled for the project, and fortunately, the employees they wanted were available for the project. The game’s senior producer, Abdelhak Elguess, told Game Informer that he “didn’t want to do any Prince of Persia that I wouldn’t be proud of.” A demo for the game should be available on January 11th.
Lost Crown wasn’t an assignment that got a high from Ubisoft, but was instead directed by the team that helped Rada put together the game.
“It’s completely us. It’s not an order,” says Radi.
The moment just happened. The people Radi wanted on the team with applicable skills like expertise in platforming and world building were finally available within Ubisoft.
“I didn’t want to do any Prince of Persia that I wasn’t proud of,” says senior producer Abdelhak Elguess, also citing that having the right people available at the right time was a major factor.
