Nintendo revealed yesterday that 160,000 Nintendo accounts were accessed by third parties and urged people to use it two-factor authentication into their accounts. UK-based publication Dorset Echo spoke to the Cyber Crime Police Center about violations that re-enforced Nintendo's status and advised consumers to do the following:
"If you have a Nintendo Online account, take the time to check your history entry.
“If you don't notice something, change your password as soon as possible.
“Nintendo Online allows use of Two Factor Authentication, which we recommend to use when you haven't already.
