Wheeeeey, the weekend is here again, which means it’s time to put on our comfiest slippers and start playing a little.
Looking back at this week, the most interesting news (well, “interesting” in an oh-god-when-will-it-end kind of way) was that the ‘Switch 2’ probably won’t launch until after the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2025. This seems pretty obvious when you think about it, but it’s still worth noting if you’re someone who literally counts down the days.
Elsewhere, a man from Saudi Arabia broke a Guinness World Record by connecting more than 400 working consoles to a single TV – really crazy stuff. It’s also confirmed that, yes, there will be new game announcements at the Gamesom Opening Night Live, as you’d hope. We don’t know if this will be relevant for the Switch, but we’ll keep an eye out regardless.
In even sadder news, we also learned that the extremely talented Rachael Lillis, who voices Misty, Jessie, Jigglypuff and more in Pokémon the anime has sadly passed away. The Pokémon community united in honoring Lillis with several tributes on social media.
