I'm currently playing a rather intriguing game to review, so keep an eye out for that soon, but otherwise I'm currently knee-deep in Hello: reach A legendary campaign.
A recent rumor regarding The Master Chief Collection Coming to the Switch 2 really got me in the mood to play the whole series again, so that's exactly what I'm doing! It's just so special, and after years of honing my skills, Legendary now feels like the most appropriate difficulty.

Another WAYP, another week of Trails through Daybreak. Look, that's about 80 hours! I'm on chapter 5! That's good progress, isn't it? This is quickly becoming one of my favorite games in the series, even with its issues. It's a van best the main character.
Tales of Graces f Remastered is also on the list – I'm so excited to revisit the best battle systems in an RPG and also play the whole co-op thing! The problem is that we'll actually be away for most of the weekend, so I probably won't get much time with Arkride Solutions or the Lhants, so expect to hear more next week. Probably.

I had planned to chill with Disco Elysium all weekend, but the recent discovery of 'grubby Mario' in that bit of Mario Kart 9 footage has me craving Italy. This weekend I'll be hooking up the Switch to the TV in the living room to face my wife on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Party Superstars. Pray for me; my queen is deadly on Superstars.
Depending on the outcome of our board games, it may take some time for me to heal my wounds by playing single player. And since I'm all about mushrooms, I'll go back to Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood.
Let's go!

I plan to continue making good progress in the wonderful game The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. I'm pretty stoked about the Blade Chimera, so I'll be spending more time on it. FreeSpace 2 continues to deliver one of the best space shooting simulators out there despite its age. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD may not be new, but it remains an amazing part of the series. Time to level up my Assault Marine one last time Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II and begin his new career as a sniper for the Imperium.
Game of the week is Smuggler's Run: Warzones. I often revisit the Gamecube library and it's a good time to revisit a classic released by Rockstar. Turn up the volume, enjoy the crazy electronic soundtrack, and watch your onrushing opponents fly into the air after detonating one of our counter bombs. It's (oddly) quite Zen.

I haven't been able to hit the gym much this week between a sick toddler at home and a busy schedule at work, so I've been spending a little time every night breaking out the Ring Fit adventure. Of course, it's not the same as my usual workout, but after 30 minutes I was a little sweaty. Just enough to keep me from completely abandoning my exercise routine.
Who knows – maybe Switch 2 will give us a sequel.

Since the Switch 2 is coming soon (!), I'm chipping away at my backlog this weekend/month/year. I got the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy for Christmas (after finishing the Phoenix Wright Trilogy last year) so I'm going to spend a good few hours solving crimes.
If I get tired of yelling Complaint! and Take that! I'll be playing the Untitled Goose Game. Finally getting around to this Australian made gem after putting it on my wish list years ago. Being a secret goose is so much fun. And even more fun when I recruit my partner to join me in co-op mode – two geese are better than one.

Back 28th December I wrote that I was playing Super Hydorah. I'm still going. It's so hard (and also awesome). I'm struggling with it, but I'm barely halfway there – and I'm also struggling with the irony of being so excited for the Switch 2 while spending dozens of hours playing a game that (I think) could run on the PlayStation 1 .

We recently discovered the Nintendo Switch 2 and I can't wait to try out those sneakily hinted mouse controls. It's going to be a grueling wait until the April 2nd Direct, but truth be told there's a lot of backlog to chew on.
First off, I'm going to try out Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and it will be my first time playing it. I'm somewhat disappointed by the apparent lack of graphical polish in this HD re-release, but I'm encouraged that the gameplay reportedly holds up well. Those who were careful enough to pre-order DKCR in my region (Asia) received this excellent “Banana Pouch” as a free gift. I wife and I debated whether it was a bag meant to store bananas or simply a bag with a banana motif. Turns out it fits in the whole 'nanner so the answer I'd say is clearly the first.
Elsewhere, I'll be booting up Splatoon 3 this weekend to take my mind off the brilliant single player campaign and Side Order DLC, both of which I haven't finished yet (it's so hard to tear myself away from online turf wars once I start) . I also started my first playthrough of the GBA classic Golden Sun on NSO, which I've literally been meaning to try since my schoolyard days when I saw a friend play it. So far it's a real charmer, it's easy to see why many want a reboot of the franchise. Honestly, I wouldn't rule it out! Happy gaming everyone.

With a serious case of Switch 2 fever circulating, I thought it wise to stock up Metroid games ahead of the expected appearance of Prime 4. Behind the curve here, but very close to finishing Metroid Dread, which was spectacular. Samus' movement is so fluid and tactile. And what is this? Metroid Prime Remastered also just rushed through the mailbox!
Elsewhere, I almost made it through 2020's Carrion quickly and happily – that creature feature where you are the creature. And let's see if they will Indiana Jones and the Great Circle can grab his fedora from under the weekend stone door just before closing!

No video games for me this weekend except a little Arc. I will watch Wild at heartgoing for a long walk to see the birds and starting a new modeling project.
Have a nice weekend, good friends.
That's what we have planned for the weekend, what about you? Let us know in the next poll which games you plan to launch in the next few days.
