These processors were first integrated in 2020 with the MacBook Air M1, a novelty that left Intel out of the composition of its laptops, thus using Apple’s own CPU.
Apple M3 processor
When they came out 3 years ago, nobody knew if it was really a good idea or not, their compatibility was reduced and their potency had not yet been tested. However, over time, it was discovered that they had a outstanding performance and highly efficient power consumption who managed to get the most out of laptop battery life.
This first version managed to make many fall in love with it, something complicated in a first test. And that’s why the M2 was a hit that will be preceded by the M3, which we all can’t wait to see, because when Apple releases something, it does it well, especially if it’s its third release.
It will be the first to be made with the TSMC 3nm Technology something that makes them even more expected, but when?
Well, it will be next year, for mid 2024maybe by April or May, when we’ll already see them running on newer Macs on the block.
Its technical characteristics have not yet been disclosed, however, we know and we all know that Apple is efficient, and that a number does not really indicate the quality of its products. They can make you a computer with 4 GB of RAM that performs better than another brand with 32 GB. So it’s not the data that we are most interested in, but rather we want to see it working so that we can verify it.
What we do know is that there are probably two new the 14-inch and 16-inch versions of the MacBook Pro, as well as a new model of Mac Mini.
As for the price of these, failing to know all the details, it seems that it will be high, especially for its new 3 nm, which have a higher cost than what we are used to, and which the final consumer will obviously pay.
In other words, in summary, we can guarantee that these new Apple processors will be much more powerful and efficient than what we already have on the market, which will arrive in models never seen before in the brand and that its cost will not be exactly cheap. So if you’re thinking of taking the time to buy one, I hope you have your wallet ready, otherwise you can even go for an M1, the computer I’m writing from and don’t regret betting on an Apple-exclusive processor for. 3 years later it works like the first day.
We will wait for news from Tim Cook’s company, there are still a few months left, but we will surely see some details before.
