Tim Burton fans, rejoice: the master of comical gothic tales is back and has brought with him a nasty ghost who calls himself Betelgeuse.
Beetlejuice is the sequel to the 80s dark comedy starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, among others. In the new film, the iconic cast is back and supported by one of the brightest stars of the new generation of actors, Jenna Ortega.

When could Beetlejuice 2 be released on VOD?
The sequel to Burton’s cult classic is expected to be a huge success — Variety reports that Beetlejuice could gross as much as $100 million in its opening weekend. If that happens, Warner Bros., the studio behind the film, won’t be in a rush to bring Beetlejuice to VOD.
Warner’s most popular blockbusters – Dune: Part 2, Wonka and Barbie – became available to rent and buy a month and a half after their theatrical release. Based on this, we predict that in the US and UK, Beetlejuice 2 could be available on digital around October 19, 2024.
Note however that this is just a prediction and Warner Bros. has yet to confirm this date.
When will Beetlejuice 2 be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
Physical copies of the film are expected to hit stores after Beetlejuice’s VOD release. Barbie, Wonka, and Dune: Part 2, on DVD and Blu-ray, came out about a month after the digital release in the U.S. We suspect that in the case of Burton’s film, Warner Bros. will likely follow a similar path.
If this happens, copies of Beetlejuice 2 could appear in stores in the United States. around November 19, 2024UK-based fans may have to wait a little longer for DVD and Blu-ray editions of Beetlejuice, however, if previous releases are anything to go by.
Of course, these dates have not yet been officially confirmed.

When could Beetlejuice 2 be released on streaming services?
After their DVD and Blu-ray release, Warner Bros. films appear on streaming platforms fairly quickly, although the wait time varies.
Dune: Part Two arrived on Max a week after the release of physical copies of the film, while Wonka arrived on the service ten days after the DVD and Blu-ray release. On the other hand, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire arrived on Max three weeks after the release of physical copies, while Barbie arrived on streaming nine weeks after the release of the DVD and Blu-ray editions.
We suspect that Warner Bros. won’t delay the film’s streaming release for too long – after all, Beetlejuice will work well as both a spooky seasonal tale and a Christmas movie. On that note, we expect the film to premiere on Max in November or December 2024.
The situation might be slightly different in the UK – Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is set to appear on Sky and Now a little later.
