The iPhone 14 lineup is here, and there’s a big change on offer. This big change? Replacing the small-screen iPhone mini with a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus, giving consumers a cheaper way to get a big-screen iPhone.
The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus offer improved rear camera performance, especially in low-light conditions, as well as car crash detection functionality and satellite connectivity for emergencies, although it sports the same A15 Bionic as last year’s Pro models.
For bigger upgrades, check out the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iconic notch has been replaced with a dynamic island that takes the pill-shaped cutout and mixes it with software, displaying icons and changing shape depending on the action. There’s also a much improved camera setup, the same satellite connectivity as the iPhone 14 and the introduction of the top-end A16 Bionic too.

Are there trade-in offers for the iPhone 14 range?
There are a few trade-in deals for the iPhone 14, offering a fair amount of cash on the next smartphone – though it’s US consumers who get the biggest and best deals.
The biggest deal comes from US carriers, with AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile/Sprint offering up to $1,000 off the iPhone 14 collection by trading in an eligible iPhone when signing up for an eligible plan. Apple itself also offers a trade-in deal, but with only $40 to $720 credit depending on your smartphone.
Apple also offers a trade-in program in the UK, with UK iPhone fans able to get between £30 and £625 in credit for the iPhone 14 range depending on the smartphone being traded in.
Vodafone is also offering an attractive trade-in deal with the iPhone 14 range, although it won’t get you anything on your iPhone 14 contract.
Instead, the company’s iPhone Buyback Guarantee will offer customers a guaranteed trade-in price for the next year, allowing you to get the best price for the iPhone 15 if you choose to upgrade. You’ll get £439 for the 128GB iPhone 14, rising to £458 for the iPhone 14 Plus, £536 for the iPhone 14 Pro and £613 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, with the top end 1TB 14 Pro Max providing a maximum of £871 for the upgrade.
The iPhone 14 line wasn’t the only product Apple unveiled at its September event; the company also announced the Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch SE, and AirPods Pro 2. It was certainly a jam-packed show!
