Among all the models available, today we have to add a new one from the manufacturer AOOSTAR, a model that, based on its characteristics, can be considered the perfect mini PC.
We are talking about the AOOSTAR GEM 12 Pro, a mini PC that has everything we might need if, in addition to working, we also want to play and forget about heating problems.
AOOSTAR GEM 12 Pro
The new GEM 12 Pro from the manufacturer AOOSTAR is managed by the APU AMD RYZEN 7 8845HS
The company has developed a vapor chamber cooling system called Glacier 3.0 that can offer up to 75W of power. This section shouldn’t attract much of the attention we saw previously like the Phoenix APU It is capable of offering up to 65W of TDP. It is compatible with OCUlink to connect external graphics cards, in order to expand the graphics capabilities of this model as much as our pocket allows.
If we do not want to connect an external graphics card, we can use this connection to add up to 2 PCIe 4×4 SSD units with 2280 form factor. As for memory, this new AOOSTAR model is DDR5-5600 compatible.
It has two 2.5G Ethernet ports, 4 USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (2 front and two rear), one DisplayPort 1.4 port, one HDMI 2.1 output, and one USB-C. It also includes a jack for connecting wired headphones.
If we don’t like to enter our password every time we start the computer, we can use the integrated fingerprint reader at the top, just to the right of an LCD screen that we can configure to display the CPU temperature
Pricing and availability
The AOOSTAR GEM 12 Pro adds to the manufacturer’s previous proposal, with a mini PC managed by the Ryzen 7 77849HSa model that can currently be bought in China for 2,499 yuan, or around 320 dollars in exchange, without RAM or storage.
Regarding the price of this new model, the basic version without memory or storage is currently priced at 2,699 yuan, or around 345 dollars in exchange. At the moment it has been announced when it will hit the market since, at the moment, it is in the reservation phase and not in the purchase phase.
This company, unlike others, does not limit its products to the Chinese market, so if you are looking for a mini PC, this new proposal interests you and you are not in a hurry, you can wait a few months until that it reaches the European market.
