Before Netflix & # 39; s Witch a revolutionary saga of Andrzej Sapkowski, there was a behemoth RPG, Postman 3: The Wild Hunt. Developed by CD Projekt Red, the triplequel is Andrzej Sapkowski's best game in the world of life, and it has regained popularity after a single punch of the TV series and the Nintendo port.
However, if you've just finished the series, there are some things you may want to know before jumping in Author 3, it may be your first or eighth time of play.
(Vol. note: this post contains spoilers for the first season of Witch on Netflix, which is likely to spoil tomorrow's TV, as well as a few spoilers about the events of Author 3.)
First of all, it is important to note that games are not considered sacred (although they are sometimes debated among fans). Geralt's story in literature ends in 1268, and the first CD Projekt Red game, Witch, beginning two years later in 1270 – though Geralt's experiences in the middle ages vary greatly from book to game. Apart from this, there are many things about Author 3 especially related to events from the first season of the Netflix show, which are based largely on a short story collection known as The Last Will.
Duny the hedgehog becomes a very important player
In Episode 4 in the Netflix series, Geralt rescues Duny – otherwise known as Erlenwald's Urcheon and a hedgehog-like guard – from a certain death in Calanthe's court. Duny arrives to claim Princess Pavetta's hand in marriage, which is owed by Surprise law. However, his helmet is torn, revealing the fact that he has an old disease that made him look like a humanoid hedgehog.
After Geralt saves him, the Law of Surprise is captured again, this time connecting Geralt and the unborn Ciri, leaving their shared space. Years later Duny's true identity was revealed: Emhyr var Emreis, the rightful ruler of Nalfgaard. In Author 3 heard by Charles Dance and, like Tywin Lannister, is a totally awesome person you can't help but want more.
Mouseack the mage is very much alive in The Witcher 3
In the show, Mouseack the mage dies at the hands of a depot, who then takes his place. But he is still alive Author 3, just by a different name: Ermion. Mouseack's story on the Netflix series is different than his arc in the text, presumably because Netflix had to change times so that Geralt and Ciri met at the end. In the books, Geralt actually meets Ciri who is in Brokilon Forest, where he is contacted by a doppler posing as Mouseack on the show. In order for this point of the plot to work and for him to take his place, Show Mouseack had to die.
In the meantime, Ermion is a great character in the Author 3, and she has a great time with her old pal, Geralt from Rivia. However in this case Ermion draws Mouseack's English for the twins of Ireland.
Another important face at the Cintran banquet
In the fourth episode, Queen Calanthe of Cintra holds a banquet to challenge her daughter, Pavetta. Calanthe arrives late, drunk and covered in blood, and calls out Geralt to his desk to ease his boredom to someone he doesn't like.
Interestingly, one of the sponsors is a young Crite of Craite, who becomes Geralt's strong friend over time. In Author 3, Crach manages the same junket to decide who should be the new Great King or Queen of Skellige. Before the ceremony, he noted that an event of this nature would be considered strange if no one died – possibly referring back to a day in Cintra several years ago. Fortunately for him, the Skelligan berserkers – men who turn into barrels after drinking mushroom cocktails – arrive to party, and he gets his fair share of drinking and bloodshed.
Yennefer working with Nilfgaard?
A major point in The Witcher involves Yennefer deciding to renounce his position at Nilfgaard. This led to Frillailla Vigo becoming a court adviser, allowing Nalfgaard to surprise their victory. However, Fritilla later becomes a prisoner of the Emperor Emhyr, who enlists Yennefer's help in Author 3 hire Geralt from Rivia and get Ciri – Emhyr's daughter by blood.
Yennefer is clearly not on Nasfgaard's side in the middle Author 3. He just uses them to go to Ciri. “Who is Yennefer?” Ciri asks Geralt at the end of season 1. “Your new stepmother,” said Geralt, if he can see the future.
The Last Will and the djinn
The Last Will is a collection of Sapkowski's story for the first time (in chronological order), and the most ambitious is described in what happened in episode 5, where Geralt and Jennefer fight with the djinn. In this story, Geralt makes a wish, but refuses to tell Yennefer what it is.
It soon turns out that he wished they could stay together forever, which Yen underneath impressed with. However, at Author 3, you have the opportunity to dispel this desire by hunting djinn in Skellige. Then you can sit next to Yennefer and tell her that you still feel the same way or that things are different now. Only the heartless craftsmen can place one last.
Who is Vesemir?
At the end of season 1, Geralt mentions a man called "Vesemir," though it is the first time that name has appeared. Veteran Author 3 Players know who Vesemir is – he is the character and father of Geralt, the man who raised him in Kaer Morhen and trained him to become a witch.
Vesemir also appears in the first game of The Witcher, even though he literally shines in the final installment of the novel. If you want to hear about the kind of person that is ahead of the upcoming season 2 premiere, Author 3 the place to go. Or be warned: you will be too attached to this great narcoleptic grandmother.
Why is everyone following Ciri?
It's never been clear why Cahir – the hired black hires – is following Ciri in season 1. However, at the time Author 3 wandering around you will know that everyone and their grandmother is looking for Ciri. Why? Because he is a descendant of Lara Dorren, which means Greater Blood enters her veins.
Ciri can free up space and time at will and she reaches such a magical font that she ends up being the most important character in the entire Witcher series. You actually get to play like him more than once on Author 3, where you can get a feel for how much natural energy it has become. Then you will understand why they are so sought after. It doesn't hurt that he is also the rightful heir to both Cintra and Nalfgaard.
What is The Lodge of sorceress?
The Lodge of Sorceresses is actually a community of magistrates and witches who give governors a court advisor who is skilled in the magic arts. Our biggest exposure to them in season 1 is coming to Yennefer & # 39; s arc while studying under Tissaia in Aretuza, and then coming back in time before joining the frontlines of the Battle of Sodom.
Lodge Slippers at the end of Witch 2, which means that most of its members are hiding. Many of them actually die. However, some key members – Fritilla, Yennefer, and Triss from season 1 – reunite Author 3 before taking the Wild Hunt to Ragh nar Roog. Luckily some of the worst types, such as Stregobor and Vilgefortz, go a long way when you start the third game.
That's a bathtub
They really should have put this. It wouldn't be Witcher out Bathtub Geralt ™.
