A new trailer for December Spider-Man: No way home revealed a clever way to finally make a Sinister Six movie, but held back with a predicted mega-twist: the team between Tom Hollands Peter Parker and Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker von Spider Man, and Andrew Garfields Peter Parker The incredible Spiderman. After months of speculation and “spy photo” leaks, everyone assumed that the trio would appear in the trailer thanks to a space-time distortion spell by Doctor Strange. They have not.
Although I think it’s entirely possible that the actors in No way home, it also seems entirely possible that the multiversal action begins and ends with the villains. The line-up includes Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx’s Electro, as well as CG versions of Sandman, Lizard, and a second Green Goblin. That should be fun in and of itself. But people on the internet really wanted to see a bunch of Spider-mans walking around fighting crime. They did not grant their wish. I can imagine screaming will follow.
Garfield tried to warn us. While the actor is striving for an Oscar nomination for his powerful work Lin-Manuel Mirandas Tick, tick … boom!, he’s also shown another tougher feat throughout the year: asking questions Spider-Man: No way home
I mean just look at the work this guy does:

There’s nothing to ruin. I just have to interrupt you quickly because there’s nothing to ruin. It’s hilarious as hell to me because I have this twitter account and see how many times Spider-Man is trending and people freaking out about one thing […] I wish I could talk to everyone and say, ‘I recommend you relax!’ I can’t talk to anything other than myself. You could do some. I don’t have a call. Have you played the game before? werewolf? or mafia? You convince everyone that you are not in the mafia. I feel like I’m in a fucking game werewolf or mafia where I’m like ‘I’m not the werewolf! I promise I am not the werewolf! ‘ and everyone says, ‘You are the werewolf! You’re the damn werewolf! ‘

I understand why people freak out about the concept because I’m a fan too. You can’t help but look at scenes and moments of, ‘Oh my god, how fucking cool would it be if you did this? But it is important for me to put on record that I am not aware that I am involved. But I know that I can’t say anything that will convince someone that I don’t know what is happening. No matter what I say, I’m screwed. It’s either going to be really disappointing to people or it’s going to be really exciting.
September 14, 2021, on Late night with Jimmy Fallon, reacts to a photo of him and Tobey Maguire allegedly on the set of No way home
I have heard of that. And I saw it. It’s a photo shop … I’m trying to live up to expectations. If they want to call me this late in the game, I’ll be here in my tracksuit […] I have [seen the trailer] and I’m excited and I think Tom Holland is just the perfect Peter Parker and Spider-Man so I’m just super excited. And I’ll just become a fan again, which is my preferred position.

Just like you, to be honest. That’s not the diplomatic answer, I’m really serious. I love Tom Holland, I love [director] Jon Watts, I love [producers] Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige and what they did with these films and this character. It’s an important character to me. So I’m really excited to see what happens in the third, just like you are.
Well-known spoiler Tom Holland tried early on to stop the rumor mill:

I read the script from start to finish, so it would be a miracle if they could have withheld that from me. But at the moment there is no cameo from the two boys.
No cameo from the two boys! Possibly because her looks are so much more than a cameo. Or possibly because they don’t appear in the Spider-Man movie.
Are Garfield’s answers legitimate, or are they all an act? Probably the latter. How could they not be at this point? But contrary to the sour taste of JJ Abrams and (Spider-Man: No way home star) Benedict Cumberbatch lies through his teeth to hide the moaning secrets of “John Harrison” aka Khan beforehand Star Trek Into Darknesswhen Garfield is cheating it all feels like part of his personal excitement for what’s to come. I will never forget the guy show up to The incredible SpidermanHall H Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, took the microphone in the costume and turned out to be a huge Spidey fan to the thunderous cheers of those who thought exactly that way. Playing Spidey is an honor. A bit of a wow factor in a movie like that No way home is also. While we all know what’s coming, Garfield understands why he can’t admit it until the time is right.
Or maybe he’s not in the movie. Twist!
Spider-Man: No way home hits theaters on December 17th.
