In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Merchant Statues are huge, mysterious statues found in the depth with which to trade. you want to in businessand in return they reward you with objects related to the depths, e.g bomb flowers And dark lumps. Most importantly, they sell unique armor like the Dark Tunic.
The first merchant statue you’re likely to see is actually an unearthed statue in Lookout Landing, in Robbie and Josha’s office. If you talk to this statue, you can immediately trade Poe’s for the dark tunic. You can also pay this statue 100 Poes to mark statues in the depths that you haven’t found – they’re “Brothers” – on your map.
The statues in the depths aren’t as tiny as those in Lookout Landing. They are large and require a little bit of climbing to get up and pray to them. They each have a flat platform on which you can stand and gaze into the statue’s horrible face as you pray.
Where to find poets in Tears of the Kingdom
Based on our testing, Poes will spawn in a fixed location on the map. They’re glowing blue flames that can be seen pretty much anywhere in the depths, and they don’t attack or run away when approached – they just lie dormant. That means you can go through and spam the A button to pick them all up.
There are also great poetswhat gives you five, and great poetswhich gives you 20. However, as of this writing, we’re not 100% sure if Big Poes and Grand Poes will make a comeback.
Bargainer statue locations and rewards
As you find and interact with new statues, the others will start selling their clothes. For example, the Merchant Statue in the Source of Power in the Depths sells the Leggings of the Depths. Once you hit it, you can buy the Leggings of the Depths from all the other statues as well.
We also noticed that the vendor statues in the depths also sell already unlocked amiibo armor for a pretty high price (400 Poes). According to our testing, no amiibo gear is sold in Lookout Landing. The statues in the depths also sell wands and scepters for 100 Poes each.
Here’s a list of the vendor statues we’ve found so far, along with their coordinates and the armor they reward:
- Lookout Landing Trade Statue (-0252, 0152, 0020) — Dark Tunic (150 Poes)
- Plains Handler Statue (0457, -0803, -0472) — Tunic of the Deeps (150 Poes)
- Fountain of Wisdom Merchant Statue (3805, -1328, -0858) — Dark Pants (200 Poes)
- Statue of the Negotiator Source of Power (3708, 2598, -0414) — Leggings of the Depths (200 Poes)
We’re not sure if the armor unlocked with each Poe is based on the order you find the statues in, or if it’s set per statue. We’ve listed the Negotiation Statues above in the order we found them, as instructions given by the original statue in Lookout Landing.
We’ll update this guide as soon as we can confirm more information about poets, merchant statues, and their locations.
