Call of Duty: Warzone gets one Celebration new event from May 11th to 25th. In Operation Monarchplayers have to survive a war against Godzilla and King Kong – yes, this is a connection to Godzilla vs Kong Movie that came out over a year ago. For their effort, players will receive a variety of monster-themed items, such as: B. a new weapon blueprint.
Operation Monarch’s main mode will be a variant of the Resurgence game mode, and players will team up with three other friends in groups of four. All 60 players are then thrown into a remote section of the Caldera map and must survive longer than any other squad – typical way teams win war zone
However, there is a catch with Operation Monarch. Two big catches, to be precise. Monster kings Godzilla and King Kong are also on the map. Players can damage them for additional intel or even summon them for super kill streaks. They’ll fight back, but are mostly docile for most of the game – “most” is the operative word here.
At certain points in each game (at the beginning and then at another unknown time) Godzilla and Kong will unleash their anger on players. They will attack much more aggressively and actively try to kill everyone around them. Players can run or fight in these situations, but the team that deals the most damage to the monsters during the frenzy will receive a special killstreak, allowing them to use the titans to heat or shatter an area of their choosing.
In Operation Monarch, players get some rewards for just playing with friends, but they have to spend extra money on cosmetic packs if they want all the monster-themed goodies. Completing all eight of the game’s challenges will earn players the special “Ancient Rivalry” Marksman Rifle Blueprint.
All King Kong, Godzilla, and Mechagodzilla rewards and packs are available until May 25th, when the Titans disappear again and the event disappears.
