The highly anticipated open-world role-playing game from CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077is now in the hands of the public – and players are signing up to find an extremely unoptimized experience on last-gen consoles.
Clips showing glitches, frame rate issues, big pop-ins, and more have gone viral on social media, though it’s unclear if that’s all Cyberpunk Players are trying the game with the zero day patch. After all, some fans have found ways to play the game early on using methods like Change the time zone of your consoles. Developers CD Projekt Red say that, though You have previously preloaded the game, then what you boot from the beginning already has the patch of the first day. More footage has emerged as the launch night repeats the same problems.
Polygon watched a couple of dozen live streams showcasing the gameplay of PS4 and Xbox One, as well as the better versions of each console, and we saw a series of crashes, choppy gameplay, freezing, weird geometric NPCs and more. While some of the most visible things in the social arena right now are showing fans that do not play with the patch of the first day
Please correct the game on basic Ps4 consoles. What is that 720p resolution? Frame drops, blurry images, crashes! What the fuck guys. This game ruined our experience and no doubt it will be the worst experience ever pic.twitter.com/5GElsWbOuD

Hello @ CyberpunkGame /. @CDPROJEKTRED Do you think you could actually release the game in a playable state before charging us? Totally broken on PS4, the screen constantly tearing, muddy graphics and frame rates dropping to a crawl and jerk during the fight. This is unacceptable.

Fans who are trying the game out on PC meanwhile – top-notch rigs in particular – seem to be fine based on what we saw on live streams. At least compared to the older generation of consoles. There have been reports of trees and bushes cutting through things on the pc, but it appears so Update your drivers will take care of the problem. But there are still fans who say this: even on the pc
It’s worth noting that the game’s PC code was made available to all early reviewers. While some reviewers found glitches, most of the reports didn’t notice anything at the level of what’s being shared on social media. During an Xbox One stream, Polygon saw a gamer complain because a car appeared out of nowhere and they crashed. Another gamer, Xbox One, had to restart their game after attempting to fast-forward through dialogue – something that happened more than once during the broadcast. The game seems to struggle the most when it is run in open world segments.
Still, not all mishaps fans are experiencing are groundbreaking. Oddly enough, some fans note that the infamous penis models sometimes Clip through your character’s clothing. (NSFW warning on this link!)
The problem is big enough, however, that the gaming community has turned everything into a meme in a short period of time. The format lets fans upload pictures of PS1, PS2 or N64 games using the strong viral language used to criticize the console version of Cyberpunk
This is Cyberpunk 2077 – PS4 Version 1.00. The resolution is literally under 720p and it takes 20 seconds to load the game in textures. Inexcusable. Unfathomable. Unplayable. pic.twitter.com/gdApyfmgAi

CD Projekt Red did not respond in time for publication. Prior to its release, it was reported that the studio had gone through an extensive crunch period, despite repeated promises not to force its staff to do so.
