The world of Scadrial seems to join the world Fourteen days Metaverse. Scadrial is part of the Mistborn book series by Brandon Sanderson who teased the collaboration with Official retweeting Fourteen days Twitter account. But it is not yet clear what actually comes to the game.
If fantasy books aren’t your thing, Brandon Sanderson is one of the most popular and prolific writers in the genre right now – he’s written in other genres, but fantasy is what he’s best known for. One of the most popular Sanderson books by fans is the Mistborn series, which currently includes two separate sequels and a shorter transition book. Sandersons also has another hugely popular fantasy series called The Stormlight Archive which will eventually span 10 books but has only published four so far.
Based on Fourteen days It seems that everything that comes to the game has to do with Mistborn.
The tweet includes a short message and an icon at the top that represents iron in the world of Mistborn, one of the metals used in Allomancy, the series’ metal-based magic system. In Allomancy, users can use iron to attract other metals – something they would actually fit into Fourteen days. Unfortunately, I’m not enough of a Mistborn fan (I’ve only read The Stormlight Archive, sorry) to interpret the message myself much.
Technically, both Mistborn and The Stormlight Archive, along with many other works by Sanderson, take place in a larger universe called the one Cosmere. It’s almost like Sanderson’s own version of Epic’s Metaverse, except that the connections are seldom made explicit. Just because Sanderson and Epic are now teasing Mistborn-related content doesn’t mean other parts of the cosmos might not be on the way later.
It is also a mystery what exactly this crossover could contain. While it is possible for Epic to add a version of Mistborn’s Allomancy to the game, it will likely include some cosmetic items as well. In addition, we are only a few weeks away from a new one Fourteen days Start of the season, so it is possible that the cooperation will get even bigger.
To update: At the moment it seems that this tease was just for a new one Fourteen days Skin for Kelsier, one of the main characters in Mistborn. Kelsier’s skin arrives with a loading screen, the Hemalurgic Spikes Back Bling, and the Volcanic Glass Daggers Pickaxe and is located in the Fourteen days Now in the game store.
