Minecraft’s Suspicious Stew gets its own Pringles flavor

Flavor, Minecrafts, Pringles, Stew, suspicious

The cryptic taste of Minecraft‘s suspicious stew, the game’s mysterious pixelated bowl of veggie slop, comes to Pringles Potato Chips. The aptly named Pringles Minecraft Suspicious Stew chips will be available in limited editions and cans will hit shelves sometime this month.

It’s unclear exactly how Pringles’ take on suspect stew will taste, but Kellogg (the folks who make Pringles) describe the chips as “an explosion of rich, hearty, and savory flavor” and a “novel flavor experience.” The suspicious stew of Minecraft consists of mushrooms and flowers that would convey something earthy. But pure mushroom flavor may not appeal to the Pringles-loving masses compared to a more traditional chip flavor.

The Pringles people are wise to point out that the Minecraft-inspired potato chips don’t bestow temporary power-ups (or blindness) on snackers like an in-game suspect stew can. However, they do proclaim that the chips “will surely give your taste buds a ‘taste overload’ status effect!” Buyers beware.

Pringles has done this sort of trick before, launching a Moa Burger-flavored chip inspired by the Halo games in 2021. This snack was flavored with “garlic, sweet ginger, and savory beef” (and some pepper); Polygon Chip critic Ryan Gilliam called them “gorgeously mind-blowing” in his taste test of two tubes of the limited-edition flavor.

Minecraft Fans have had no shortage of treats to try lately, and Kellogg is supplying fans, too Minecraft Creeper Crunch and Nick’s ice machine Selling a quartet of Minecraft themed “flavors to sink your pickaxe into” over the past few years.

pringles Minecraft Suspicious Stew will be available nationwide in the US in April while supplies last.
