During the Summer Game Fest Xbox Showcase, developer inXile introduced their new Steampunk RPG called Clockwork Revolution. As “new” as the game may be, the trailer caused some viewers to feel déjà vu as it somewhat mimics ten-year-old Irrational Games trailers. BioShock Infinite beat by beat.
Clockwork Revolution lets players travel back in time to key moments in the creation of an opulent steampunk city called Avallon to change the course of events for the metropolis, using a selection of dated-looking weapons and psychic abilities against an army of soldiers and robots. And although these story details certainly sound quite similar – if not identical – to the plot elements in BioShock Infinite

Since the release of Clockwork RevolutionIn the official reveal trailer, inXile studio head Brian Fargo and a Microsoft representative both responded to people claiming the “time-consuming steampunk first-person RPG” mimicked key story beats BioShock Infinite
In a recent report by IGNA Microsoft spokesperson said “any similarities are unintentional” and emphasized the gameplay differences between the two titles, highlighting the fact that, unlike in BioShock Infinite“Players will be able to fully customize their own main character.” Clockwork Revolution.
“It’s important to know that Clockwork Revolution is a true RPG with all the stats, crisp detail, and deep responsiveness we’re known for,” Fargo wrote in a Twitter post.
Clockwork Revolution There’s no release date, but when it does, it’s scheduled to release on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
