During the Pokemon World Championships, an annual invitation-only eSports event dedicated to all things pocket monsters, kicked off today, revealed developer TiMi Studio Group the free MOBA Pokemon Unite will soon have a new map and a recognizable legendary Gen III dragon.

Pokemon Unite is the 5v5 multiplayer online battle arena from The Pokémon Company. As dota 2 or League of Legendsyou choose a Pokemon from a growing list and battle other pocket monsters to see which team scores the most points in a given time limit. It can be exciting and frustrating, and TiMi Studio Group has been keeping things fresh by adding new content regularly. Just this week the developer introduced the pseudo-legendary Gen II Dark Rock Tyranitar as a melee all-rounder. Now the game is expanded with even more things.
A YouTube video The publication released today revealed that the floating and overgrown island known as Theia Sky Ruins is “coming soon”. Pokemon Unite. The map features a swampy stone aesthetic and a variety of monsters, such as Gen V’s Accelgor and Gen VI’s Bunnelby. At the center is the legendary Generation III flying dragon, Rayquaza, the 2005 mascot Pokemon Emerald which was first presented in 2003 ruby and sapphire versions. He presumably fills the same role as the first generation legendary Thunderbird Zapdos unite
However, as you can see in the video above, the introduction to the Theia is Sky Ruins Pokemon Unite does not have a definitive release date. At the moment there is only the vague “Coming Soon” announcement. It will be the seventh map in the game when it’s added, making for an even greater variety of levels.

While Pokemon Unite I’ve just seen Tyranitar added to the game and will soon see Theia Sky Ruins as a new core map. Fans of the popular MOBA are still datamining to find out what else the TiMi Studio Group has in the works. Corresponding Dexertohackers found out that Gen I’s Scizor and Gen II’s Scyther are supposed to join Pokemon Unite in the future. I guess we won’t have to wait long to find out as is TiMi Studio Group and The Pokémon Company celebrates the 1 year anniversary of the game through Adding even more monsters until next month.
