Here at Snacktaku, we're big fans of Kellogg's famous line of cardboard breakfast boxes. We've tried and tried many types—basic, peanut butter, seasoned with salt, Jolly RancherAnd we have spread a little. Now Kellogg is making Pop-Tarts peaks in cartoon colors and sprinkles them with salt. That's fine. We'll bite you.
Pretzel Pop-Tarts takes advantage of Kellogg's two eating habits at the same time. There’s a sweet and salty tradition from several years back, as well as the latest movement where food makers nail everything. A good pretzel, briefly boiled with this deliciously creamy, baked, and salty shell to perfection, is a nice and nice pillow. Any mutant sheet Kellogg's using Cinnamon Sugar and Chocolate Pretzel Pop-Tarts is okay, too. We guess.
Pretzel Pop-Tarts aren't soft and pillowy, but they are soft than regular Pop-Tart cardboard, which is something. Both varieties are slightly frozen to let the pretzel's extravagant flavor shine through. While the taste of the pretzel is not strong, what is combined with the filling of light and cream a complement of ice each other. Cinnamon sugar and chocolate are kept in check. That's fine.
Ultimately enjoying Pretzel Pop-Tarts comes down to the same feature that applies to every pretzel product. That is the salt balance. A good dose of salt in the dough makes for a great experience. Little salt and other substances begin to exploit their governing mechanism, the taste buds being discarded. We would probably recommend keeping sea salt while eating these, if possible.
When it comes down to a bloody battle the two flavors, we here at Snacktaku would have to combine with cinnamon sugar, a close to cousin to the right-handed Pop-Tart, Brown Sugar Cinnamon. Chocolate is good, but fun.
