Sony has announced an upcoming expansion to its existing Game Help experience for PlayStation 5. The feature that allows developers to create Hints for PS5 games accessible via the console control center will receive an update in the form of Community Game Help. The new feature will be available later this year and will be based on user-generated content. Here’s exactly what the Game Help community will bring to the PS5 experience.
As stated in the PlayStation Blog post When the feature is announced later this year, players will see notes labeled “Community Game Help.” These are clues generated from other players’ gameplay. For those who choose to participate in Community Game Help, footage will be automatically recorded upon completing certain activities in a game. This footage is then reviewed by a moderator and, if approved, published as a note for other players to view and use as a guide. Other users can rate the usefulness of the community-generated hints to compile the most helpful information for players.
Those wishing to sign up for Community Play Help can do so in the Recordings and Broadcasts section of the Settings menu: If you navigate to Recordings > Automatic Recordings > Community Play Help and select Join, you will be signed in . This setting will appear sometime in the next few months (Sony has not given an official release date). You can control the monthly recording limit that Community Game Help is also allowed to record from your system. All footage will also be automatically removed from your local storage once uploaded, so players don’t have to constantly manage their storage. Players can remove any video of them used in the community game help at any time.
“We hope many players will join the Game Help community and share their amazing gameplay achievements!” The PlayStation Blog Post ends.
