Steven Spielberg, who directed Indiana Jones through Passengers of a Lost Ship, Temple of Judgment, The Last Religion, again Crystal Skull Kingdom, throws a whip at the new filmmaker to present the fifth Indiana Jones movie proposed.
New report from Variety suggests that Spielberg will step down from the commodity itself, leaving enough time for a new manager to oversee the script and head down to production. Who can take Spoelberg's reins? The name in the ring is James Mangold, who holds the keyword addressed to adults in the title of Best Photo Ford v Ferrari, and is best known for rebooting the X-Men franchise twice, with Wolverine and Logan. There are no details that Disney and Lucasfilm will contest with a new writer who joined the project – Mangold often writes his own script – but 77-year-old Harrison Ford remains stuck in his role as Indy.
