I was expecting a powerful Pokemon clown when I heard the name Shuckle. Instead of a clown, I found a mysterious and ridiculous Pokemon hiding in their house and drinking home-made wine. Oh, wait, I think I still have a clown. (I'm very sorry for anyone or anyone who knows the clown. I already made a goof.)
Shuckle is a Pokemon that kind of looks like a caterpillar that lives in a tortoise shell from Dr. Seus' book. It can hide in this shell and even store the berries here, where it boils down to “sweet juice.” Which, lo, I find out that they wouldn't call it wine, but it's tasty. Are we all ready for that? Shuckle simply grabs his shell, emits sunlight and gets drunk. I respect the riot, of course.
How Shuckle made this “juice” is quite amazing. It collects berries and stores them in a shell and uses its digestive juices to break them down, starting the fermentation process. So does this mean that the shell is full of digestive juices and they just sink in and get there as Shuckle goes? Or maybe Shuckle fills the shell with this drilling fluid when needed. How does that work? Well according to a The Cookex entry is listed on Bulbapedia
I also cannot stop thinking about the aroma that should come from this shell. It can't be fun. Something tells me that rotten fruit and cleansing doesn't make it a good pleasant feeling.
The Art of the Dear Lover
You see Shuckle, which is why you don't just keep your digestive stuff inside an open shell. Also, disgusting.
