Blizzard announced that DiabloIV‘S super-popular beta will get a final playable weekend from May 12th to May 14th, allowing you to take another trip to Hell and Sanctuary ahead of the action RPG’s upcoming June 6th release date.
The fourth mainline entry in the long-running isometric loot-grinding RPG, DiabloIV already has a few beta weekends behind it. While the first was only available to people who pre-ordered the game (or bought a chicken sandwich), Blizzard later offered the beta to all players to check out. Over both playable weekends, you can progress through the prologue and the first act, and upgrade each of the character classes to at least 20 to earn various in-game rewards that carry over to the main game, such as: an adorable, sleepy wolf pup
Blizzard wants you to shut down its servers in May
From May 12th to May 14th, all PC, PlayStation and Xbox players will have a chance to jump into what’s to come DiabloIVthe last beta. Blizzard wants to test server stability in preparation for the game’s launch in June. As in previous betas, all five character classes will be available for checkout and the prologue will be playable alongside the first act of the game.
In a blog post announcing the newsBlizzard indicated that some differences will distinguish this final beta from the previous two. Most importantly, all the bug fixes and game updates outlined on April 14th will come into effect. (RIP, necromancers, myself included.) LEgendary drop rates have been changed to reflect how they will appear in the full game, details of which have not yet been announced. And level 20 seems to be the cap here, instead of level 25 as in previous betas. Otherwise what you played before is what you will play again. And since this is still a beta test, you’re not making any progress on what Blizzard has called it DiabloIVThe “Server Slam” of will be carried over to the full version of the game. A pity.
What’s no shame are the rewards you can get for playing this latest beta. Aside from the titles you can earn to flaunt in-game, players who reach level 20 will also receive this adorable wolf pup and all who do kills Ashava the plague will get the Cry of Ashava mount trophy to trot the world of Sanctuary.

This will likely be the last time we get it DiabloIV in our hands before the game launches in a little under two months. It sucks that progress made doesn’t carry over to the full game, but hey, what can you do? If you’re ready for one last fling with Mama Succubi’s minions this Mother’s Day, you can download Server Slam on May 10th by searching for it in your favorite digital store.
