After a gloomy year for the video game industry, 2025 looks much better and busier – if only because Rockstar Games plans to Grand Theft Auto 6 in 2025, and Nintendo promises to release a successor to the hugely popular Switch and a number of new games launching at the same time.
These aren’t the only highly anticipated sequels coming in 2025. Video game fans can also expect Sid Meier’s Civilization 7, Death Stranding 2, Doom: The Dark Agesthe new fable, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Monster Hunter World, Pokémon Legends: ZAAnd Kill the Tower 2. In addition to sequels, there are some other big bets on the calendar for 2025, such as Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra
