A twitch streamer uses an actual dunk tank during their live streams to motivate themselves not to fall into the tricky precision platformer and live streaming sensation. Only until!
Only until!, developed by SC-KR Games, is an obstacle course game in which players are tasked with navigating through steep environments without falling back to their starting point. Think get over it if it were a 3D plat former, but without a person using a sledgehammer to catapult themselves over hard-to-reach heights. KeatDawg, a 20-year-old Twitch streamer from Atlanta, Georgia, recently streamed himself playing games Only until! In front of his 6,500 followers while anxiously swinging his feet over the inviting waters of the dunk tank below. Thanks to his two-camera setup, viewers can see him up close, while another camera gives us a clear view of the dunk tank.
This isn’t the first time KeatDawg has used the tank during a live stream on Twitch. “Originally the idea came from a game called ” jump king
As of this writing, KeatDawg has only been streaming himself playing games Only until! once in the dunk tank, but he believes he will ultimately manage to complete the game without being dunked “over 1000 times” like he did during his game jump king streams.
“It just takes a while to learn these games,” he said. “The biggest hurdle for me is [that] As soon as I fall, I dive in, so I can’t save myself and I’ll probably hit the bottom of the game again in a moment.”
You can look at one VOD by KeatDawg’s Only until! dunk stream.
Unfortunately, KeatDawg is the first Only until! The dunk tank stream didn’t go too well (at least in terms of his clothes) because he fell into his makeshift dunk tank 20 minutes into his 50 minute live stream. According to KeatDawg, his fall into the murky depths was due to a bad key combination on his mouse that caused him to drift to the right while walking over metal beams. He also added that he had to abort his first dunk stream because his keyboard fell into the tank and broke. To his credit, his mouse at least never took the plunge, though it came perilously close to joining him.
