Apex Legends may come from a three-week-long anniversary event, but developer Respawn wastes no time getting the ball rolling at the game’s next big event. The Chaos Theory Collection Event is scheduled to start next week and puts Caustic in the spotlight. What’s more, the new trailer apparently reveals the Bangalore Heirloom.
A new trailer was released on the Apex Legends YouTube account to officially announce the Chaos Theory Collection Event. In the trailer, we get the narration from Caustic as he uses his gas traps to slowly shut down his opponent. We also see a new skin for Caustic, as well as a map change to Kings Canyon that features a chamber full of toxic gas chambers. The Chaos Theory Collection Event begins on March 9.
With the Chaos Theory Collection event comes a new acquisition game mode titled Ring Fury. In this mode, the ring moves aggressively, but there is also a new item called Heat Shield that will form a bubble, protecting players from all damage from the ring. As with all Apex Legends collectible events, Chaos Theory brings new unlockable / purchased skins for Caustic, Octane, and Rampart, as seen in the trailer. There will likely be a lot more to collect once the event goes live.
What’s really fascinating is that this trailer reveals what appears to be the relic of Bangalore. Seen at the beginning of the trailer when it leaps into battle, the Bangalore Heirloom is a curved knife with a hot edge. Apex fans had been speculating which Legend would get a relic next, and it seems like it’s time for Bangalore to shine. Of course, relic shards will be needed to unlock this rare cosmetic.
The Apex Legends Chaos Theory Collection event will kick off on March 9 and will add new skins, a new game mode, and the Bangalore Heirloom.
