Electronic Arts y Respawn have shared a new trailer for Apex Legends which presents a new legend for the game. As has become customary, the production value of these short films can be seen in the quality of the art and the narrative. So Seer, who is the name of the new character, starts off on the right foot.
In fact, the short was directed by Robert Valley, who also directed the episode “Zema Blue” Love, Death and Robots on Netflix. So those who saw such an episode will notice many similarities.
Dangerous vision
Seer is a black character who was born with a curse. His gaze is a bad omen and what he sees can destroy him, even against his will. For this reason he grows secluded, although at the end of the trailer we can see him facing someone in what looks like a street fight.
Respawn only shared an in-game image of Seer but then he deleted it from his website. However, it can still be found in some places like Reddit. It seems that in its base skin the key color is black, although it has certain details in gold, such as hair.
Together with Seer we can expect changes to the map, a new weapon (Rampage LMG) and the arrival of ranked games in the Arenas. The new Apex Legends game mode was released a few weeks ago and has been a success so now it will receive its own mode “seriously”. In other words, we will have a competitive rank for the battle royale and another for the arenas.
The new update, Emergence, will be released on August 3 with all the news mentioned and with Seer at the helm.
