Their presence has not hindered that of Dragon Ball FighterZ, a more recent release, allowing the games in the franchise to thrive in parallel.
On this occasion, the advance of Jiren, one of the original characters of Dragon Ball Super, who showed formidable power in the initial arcs of the series, was released. For Xenoverse 2, the most powerful version of the heroic alien that seeks the dragon balls will arrive.
Jiren the heroic villain
Also known as Jiren the Gray, he is one of the members of the Pride Troops, vigilante soldiers from Universe 11 who participate in the Tournament of Force. He first appears as the main antagon ist of the Universal Survival Arc from the Dragon Ball Super anime and manga.
Being the strongest warrior in his universe, he develops a great rivalry with Goku, despite having a strong sense of justice. The reason for this is his personal wish that he seeks to ask with the Dragon Balls: the resurrection of his master.
This made him an interesting character for the fandom, being both a special idea of a formidable warrior for some, and a sadly generic character for others when his personal story was revealed, after the aura of mystery that remained about his character in his first appearances.
But his presence in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will allow to recreate all kinds of battles with the strongest warrior of the Pride Troops and the Z Warriors.
