The Summer Game Fest ended in a big way by finally introducing Elden Ring, one of the most anticipated titles throughout the industry will finally hit all platforms in just over six months.
In this way, Hidetaka Miyazaki and From Software will launch their sixth game in the Souls saga in 11 years, the acclaimed franchise has given a new air to the entire landscape of the Japanese action RPG and it seems that its culmination will be this new installment.
Vuelve From Software
The trailer showed a gameplay very similar to what we saw in Dark Souls along with a medieval theme with dragons, knights, large castles and, as a novelty, huge meadows. From Software had already anticipated that the title would work as an open world, so we are facing a delivery more adapted to the current mechanics.
For its part, the history and origins of this world have been written by George RR Martin, the writer of A Song of Ice and Fire (adapted for TV as Games of Thrones) and one of the most awarded fantasy writers. So the hype for the title is more than justified at this point.
Apparently, part of the leaked was true, especially the trailer that showed the open world, in this official trailer we could see very similar meadows and the possibility of riding a horse. Red and white haired enemies were also shown, something that the leaks pointed to was related to two factions in battle.
Lastly, we also saw a lot of Souls-style enemies, both humanoids and beasts, demons, dragons and more ethereal and mysterious figures, so it’s just what everyone was expecting.
You can watch the trailer below. Elden Ring will arrive on January 21, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC.
