Evil Dead: The Game brings cooperative action and PvP inspired by the beloved (and infamously cheesy) horror movies for PC and consoles.
The first trailer for Saber Interactive takes place in the cabin of the original Evil Dead movie, although it does bring characters from the entire franchise. In the center is Bruce Campbell himself making the appearance of an Ash with a fresh face and chainsaw hand. We only get a brief sneak peek at what the game’s action looks like, but it appears to be a third-person shooter with a lot of melee mixed in.
In the trailer narration, Ash summarizes the events of the original Evil Dead movie: “The book awakened something dark in the forest. He took Linda, and then he came for me. ” We then see a team of survivors slashing, shooting, and slashing with chainsaws through dead enemies that don’t fall easily. It also looks like you can drive Ash’s 1973 Oldsmobile Delta to get through the stages more quickly, which is arguably the most clutch cameo of all.
The Evil Dead series has hit video games multiple times before, including the Ash vs. Evil Dead from Ash to Dead by Daylight as a survivor. There’s something about a hero with a shotgun in one hand and a chainsaw in the other that calls for video game adaptations.
Evil Dead: The Game llegará a PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC y Nintendo Switch en 2021.
