Kratos history
The story of Kratos begins in Sparta, where he was raised from a very young age and where he begins his training in order to master every aspect of the war. These he perfects together with Deimos, his little brother and who, later, is kidnapped by Athena and Ares by mistake. The reason? A prophecy announced the end of the Olympian gods at the hands of a Spartan human who was supposed to be, by his marks, young Deimos.
This kidnapping brings with it one of the most important moments in the history of Kratos since it places the scar in his eye that will accompany him all his life. How was this done? Because of Ares at the moment when Kratos tries to save Deimos. Believing that his brother has died, he decides to tattoo the symbols that mark Deimos from his birth.
After the kidnapping, time passes and Kratos manages to surround himself with the Spartan army, which will lead him to confront the King of the Barbarians in order to obtain the ambrosia of the gods. With what intention? It is a delicacy that can cure any disease and with which he hopes to cure his daughter Calliope, who conceives his wife Lysandra. Although this brings with it another important point in the story of our protagonist.
To be able to deal with the King of the Barbarians, Kratos makes a pact with Ares where he agrees to be his servant in exchange for killing his enemies. It is at this point that he receives the Swords of Chaos. A point that, shortly after, will bring great consequences in its history and that will bring with it the characteristic ashen skin of Kratos.
With direct orders from Ares, Kratos is responsible for killing all those who are in the places marked by the god. Between those points, was a village, where our “hero” devastates everyone those who are inside the temple and where his wife and daughter were. A decision made by Ares to cut all the sentimental ties of the warrior and that causes the oracle to curse him by making the ashes of his wife and daughter stick to his skin.
All these points, being nothing more than the beginning of an epic story, cause the Spartan's thirst for revenge to increase and his power to be greater than even expected.
What games does Kratos appear in?
The story of Kratos, of course, sees its light in each of the installments of the God of War saga itself, being the most recent the title directed by Cory Barlog and which has been defined as a "masterpiece". But that does not prevent the warrior from participating in other great works, even becoming a secret boss in Shovel Knight.

God of War (2018)
It is one of the most unexpected great returns and is that, the ambitious project of Sony and Santa Monica Studio brought with it a new perspective on Kratos. While many valued being able to meet Kratos in God of war 4, Cory Barlog made the decision to go one step further. Opt for a more humane perspective of the savage warrior who, at the time, satiated his revenge against the gods.
On his new trip he presents us with an epic journey through Nordic lands where his son Atreus accompanies us and where we meet the new style of combat with the ax of Kratos. Or the one, in a somewhat dramatic way, obtained to overcome all kinds of new dangers. Undoubtedly, a surprising PlayStation 4 exclusive that brings with it magic, a spectacular narrative and a piece that God of War fans cannot miss, especially to see the son of Kratos in action.
God of War III
A title that comes to show us the story from the end point of God of War II. In this we know the battle against Zeus and the "end" of revenge in which Kratos must fulfill the destiny marked by the prophecy that sentenced the end of Olympus and not precisely at the hands of the Titans imprisoned by the Gods themselves.
Everybodys golf 5
To get to know an even more picturesque side of the warrior, we have the possibility of playing golf. Possibly one of those hobbies that we never thought the Spartan warrior could have. Although, perhaps, it also serves as a small break between battles.
Curiosities of Kratos
Although Kratos is not part of Greek mythology, he has performed heroic acts on other characters, such as killing Medusa or even flying on Pegasus.
Kratos has fought against all direct members of your family.
Whenever it dies, it is pierced through the abdomen.
In God of War 2, although he is pierced by the Sword of Olympus, wielded by Zeus, the scar only remains on his abdomen, not on his back.
Everyone who has helped him or even received his help, has died from the acts of Kratos.
