Arenas, the game mode that will arrive with season 9

In the past week, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts presented a new short film by Apex Legends. This lets see Valkyrie, the legend that will debut in season 9 of ‘Battle Royale’. However, this will not be the only novelty that will come.

Through a preview, Respawn Entertainment and EA presented some of the content that will arrive with season 9 of Apex Legends. The video reveals Valkyrie’s abilities, some rewards that players will be able to obtain, and the changes the Olympus map will receive. Not least, a new game mode is coming: Arenas.

What is Arenas about?

Unlike the standard experience, in which 20 squads of three are pitted against each other, Arenas will be a more condensed game mode. This is because it will consist of 3v3 matches. At the beginning of each round, participants will have a minimum amount of materials. With these they will be able to obtain weapons, improve them and collect supplies. While the first will offer 200 materials to all members of the squad, the second will grant 75. There will also be the option to save and get weapons of higher rank.

**How to win at Arenas in Apex Legends?**

To win a match in the Arenas, one of the platoons must win at least three rounds and

have a two point lead. In other words, the game will end if one scores 3-0, 3-1, 4-2, or 5-3. In the event that both teams are tied with four points, they will enter sudden death mode. The trio that wins the ninth round will win.

Arena Rules in Apex Legends

In addition to the aforementioned, Arenas has some peculiar rules compared to the standard mode of Apex Legends. The first is that weapons are not shared between rounds. Regardless of whether the squads win or lose, each round will start from scratch with the basic equipment and materials collected by the participant. If players buy a weapon, it will be the basic weapon without accessories. However, they will be able to upgrade it before the round begins.

Second, participants will be able to use their ultimate skills and tactics a limited number of times. They will not reload as in the ‘Battle Royale’ mode. However, they will be able to acquire additional charges and ultimate abilities by investing materials.

**With what maps will Arenas reach Apex Legends?**

Arena mode will arrive with two custom maps: Surprise assistant, set in a luxurious city center plaza where players can choose to battle on the rugged Voyage or the opulent two-story buildings that make up the plaza, and Saltafases

, a hidden experimental area on top of a mountain. As Season 9 of Apex Legends, three more maps will be added to the biweekly rotation of Arenas mode. These include the following known locations: Artillery of the Canyon of the Kings, End of the world thermal station Y Olympus Golden Gardens.
