At the beginning of October, Crystal Dynamics enabled the purchase of in-game experience boosters (XP) Marvel’s Avengers. The immediate reaction from the community was not positive. This is because Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix had promised prior to the game’s release that it would have no loot boxes or pay-to-win mechanics.. XP boosters fell into the latter category due to their cost in credits, a currency that can only be obtained through hero cards or by investing real money.
For nearly a month, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix did not issue a response to community discontent. Unfortunately, this eroded the good faith generated after the launch of War for Wakanda. It wasn’t until today that the study finally unveiled what they will do with the Fragment Extractors and Hero Catalysts.
When will experience boosters (XP) be removed from the game? Marvel’s Avengers? Can they still be used?
Starting today, users of Avengers (game) can no longer buy Fragment Extractors or Hero Catalysts from the market. However, these XP boosters will continue to be offered as rewards. Additionally, players who have any of these items in their inventory can still safely use them whenever they want.
Marvel’s Avengers available now for PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X / S, Stadia, and PC. To know more about the Crystal Dynamics game, we recommend following this link
