There are a few days until the arrival of Spider-Man to the game Marvel’s Avengers And, thanks to IGN, we finally got to see this hero in action, learn about his heroic abilities, and details about the event in which he will be introduced.
Event: with great power
Unlike Kate Bishop, Hawkeye and Black Panther, Spider-Man will not star in a new operation or campaign of Marvel’s Avengers. Instead, we will be able to complete challenges by playing normal Avengers Initiative missions to unlock illustrated audios and videos that tell their story. In this one, the spider hero discovers an AIM plan to upgrade his army of synths.
The only new missions are those in the character tutorial. Like the others, these are held in the HARM room
Spider-Man’s heroic abilities in the game Marvel’s Avengers
- Web-Bomb (spider web bomb)– Deals effect damage in an area and causes the new ‘web’ state, which temporarily incapacitates an enemy.
- Spider Drone (dron araña)– Summons a robotic companion that shoots spider webs at enemies in its range
- Wrecking Ball– Throw a massive spider web ball at an area of the stage, dealing massive damage to enemies it hits.
To move around the battlefield, the character uses his iconic ability to swing on his spider web. However, IGN’s analysis makes it clear that this one doesn’t feel as good as it did in Insomniac’s excellent game.
What’s the release date for Spider-Man?
The Spider-Man event will be available to players of Marvel’s Avengers on PS4 and PS5 the November 30, 2021. It will not be part of the game on Xbox, Stadia or PC. It will arrive together with the long-awaited Klaw ‘raid’ that will be available to players on all platforms.
