Street Fighter 6 releases June 2, 2023

Fresh off of The Game Awards 2022, Street Fighter 6 officially launches June 2, 2023 and is available for pre-order today! Set up your trays, fasten your seat belts, and get ready to learn more about the immersive single-player mode, World Tour, plus four other characters from the diverse international roster.

Your Around the World itinerary

We previously revealed more information about World Tour a few months ago, but we’re ready to update your itinerary with another look. As beautiful as bustling Metro City is, your travels will take you around the world to discover specific locations such as a beach in Jamaica, an arena in Italy, and a festival in France. There may even be a Master in each of these places who is eager to meet you.

You’ll learn special moves from these masters to incorporate into your avatar’s custom move set. You can also mix and match special moves from different masters, meaning your avatar can throw a Hadoken, a Sonic Boom, perform a Spinning Bird Kick and a Yoga Flame, all in the same match as long as they use different entries. .

When jumping into a fight in World Tour, you may encounter more than one opponent, which means fights can feel a bit unbalanced. Careful selection of special moves can ensure you have a balanced moveset in case you get stuck. Or… fight alongside your masters using Master Assist!

In their infinite wisdom – or chaos, depending on the character – the Masters won’t leave you alone in the streets. You can fight alongside a master like Ryu by summoning them to battle. They will then join the fray and help you for a while. Be sure to thank them after the fight. They taught you everything you know. Deepen your bond with a Master to fight alongside you in World Tour!

Need a break from all the fighting and “protect” the streets? World Tour contains a host of mini-games that you can play between matches in the form of part-time jobs where you can earn World Tour currency. Karate bottles, savor Italian cuisine, parry basketballs and more to immerse yourself even more. Buy in-game clothes, food, and more with the currency you earn from these mini-games. Since combat is the name of the game, many of these minigames will also enhance your understanding of the fundamentals of the fighting game.

A legend returns with three newcomers – Dee Jay, Manon, Marisa, JP

First appearing in Super Street Fighter II, Dee Jay is a world famous dance music superstar who is always ready to have a good time. With a burning love for music and fighting, this Jamaican sensation is driving audiences crazy with hot new songs and stylish moves. Visit Bathers Beach, Dee Jay’s scene in Street Fighter 6, to find a vibrant beach party as the sun sets.

As a returning character to the series, Dee Jay retains his trademark moves that will get you in the groove such as Air Slasher, Double Rolling Sobat, Machine Gun Upper, and Jackknife Maximum. His new move Cool Juice is a back swing that can lead to kicking attacks or forward maneuvers that will test his opponent’s tempo. Dee Jay’s level 3 super art is Weekend Pleasure, a flurry of blows reminiscent of his Ultra Combo II in Ultra Street Fighter IV.

Super model and world champion judoka, Manon is an idealist, always seeking self-improvement in pursuit of beauty. She parades on the catwalk of street fights to become the strongest model in the world. Find her on the stage of the Fête Foraine in France, a dazzling carnival in the middle of the French horizon.

Manon’s movement set is a graceful union between judo grappling and classical ballet. The elegant Carousel Golden and Reverse are holds that will increase Manon’s medal level if successful. The higher his medal level, the more the properties of each grab will change. Manon performs the Pas de Deux in her Level 3 Super Art as if her opponent were her dance partner before smashing them to the floor for a standing ovation.

Marisa is a rising Italian jewelry designer who claims ancestry from ancient Greek warriors. As a child, she was inspired by a vision of the Colosseum in its heyday. Today, she seeks fame with a smile and an eye for beauty. Soak up the smell of victory at the Colosseo, Marisa’s stage, with battle-ready warriors cheering you on in the background.

A powerhouse of character, Marisa uses her long limbs to unleash slow but gargantuan strikes. Marisa can use Gladius, a devastating right punch that can be curled for extra damage. Scutum is a defensive stance that gives him upper body armor and thwarts an opponent’s attack. Use Quadriga, a powerful front kick to show your opponents that “This. Is. Marisa! Her Level 3 Super Art channels the Goddess of the Hunt into an almighty tackle straight into a wall.

JP is the head of an international NGO responsible for many successful investment projects and the man behind Nayshall’s current prosperity. He has a beloved cat named Cybele.

JP takes control of the entire map from all angles. He uses Depart, placing a power vacuum in the air, which can then be transformed into thorns or can be used to teleport him to his location. JP can also send clones across the screen with Torbalan or Embrace to keep opponents in check. Ban is JP’s level 3 super art where he sends destructive power through his opponent’s veins before they explode from within.

Pre-orders for Street Fighter 6 are available today with knockout incentives for PS5 and PS4 owners. You’ll receive alternate colors for Chun-Li, Jamie, Manon, Dee Jay, Juri, and Ken’s default outfit, 18 special in-game titles, and 18 stickers with unique Launch List artwork to personalize your profile.

If you’re wondering which edition to pre-order, here’s a quick guide. The first is the standard edition, which includes Fighting Ground, World Tour, Battle Hub, and the 18-character launch roster, and will cost $59.99.

The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the Year 1 Character Pass, which contains four characters, colors 3-10 for each of these characters, 1 outfit, and a bonus of 4,200 Drive Tickets for the in-game purchases. The Deluxe Edition is $84.99, offering a discount on getting the full game and Year 1 Character Pass separately. Stay tuned for more information on the four Year 1 characters coming to Street Fighter 6 after its release on June 2, 2023!

The Ultimate Edition costs $104.99 and comes with a massive amount of content. You’ll get the base game and the Year 1 Ultimate Pass, which contains the Year 1 Character Pass content, two additional costumes and their alternate colors for the four Year 1 characters, two additional Stages and a bonus of 7,700 Drive Tickets.

Before leaving, here is a little reminder: the Closed Beta Test #2 will take place from December 16 to 19 on PS5. Exactly like the first Closed Beta Test, this one will take place in the Battle Hub and will contain eight characters.
