From SS modder and dataminer Lance McDonald is back at the scene, this time for Boldborne. The modder had the game run at 60FPS using its own hole.
You can see Blood Pressure working in the video below, running on the McDonald patch. As noted in the tweet, the gothic game FromSoftware didn't have time to run at 60 frames per second, so the whole game in progress forward to compensate.
"Ah, I did! The bloodshed runs at 60 fps (there is no v sync, so there is a lot of annoyance on the screen) with the proper framing of the frames and the game's logical sync. This works on a Pro4 Pro, I'll try to find a real FPS counter for tomorrow.
It's amazing to see Bloodborne working at a steady speed of 60 frames per second. McDonald notes that he will be trying to come back soon to run the game with his own version on the PS4, using the enhanced power mode to display the FPS counter on the screen.
This is the latest in a long list of McDonald's acquisitions. Another prominent one was in September 2019, when he started working on demo P.T. from Hideo Kojima, to discover the fact that the awesome demo ghost was always behind you throughout the game.
But back to Bloodborne, this is one of the latest FromSoftware titles for the PlayStation 4, where we received a really good review and are one of our game's nominees.
It is unfortunate that the developer team does not provide details on the game sequence, especially now that they are focused on the Elden Ring in collaboration with George R. R. Martin and Bandai Namco.
Goldborne is currently on the PS4.
