Jet Set Radio is unmistakably one of the classic SEGA licenses that fans most often ask for a return. But obviously the hedgehog company does not intend to comply with these demands for the time being. Small consolation, the hero of the series will be back very soon.

The Super Monkey Ball machine is really being reissued. After the release of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD at the end of 2019, SEGA is already preparing to market a new episode of the series created by Toshihiro Nagoshi. And if Banana Blitz HD made it possible to play Sonic in addition to the famous monkeys, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will also have a guest from another SEGA license.
This guest is Beat, the hero of the (too) short series by Jet Set Radio. And as the trailer for this crossover shows, SEGA has an eye for detail. Indeed, when the player embodies Beat in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, the emblematic bananas of the series are replaced by the aerosol cans in the heart of the universe of Jet Set Radio. SEGA also states, and this is important, that Beat is already in the game and can be unlocked for free.
The king of equipment
At the hour this is written, it is unknown if other characters from SEGA will appear in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania. Your servant would not be (surprised) against the presence of a Kazuma Kiryu collecting signal cones or a Ryo Hazuki collecting beverage cans. As a reminder, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is out October 5th on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC (via Steam) planned.
For your information, Beat has been the hero of two episodes of Jet Set Radio so far (excluding the Game Boy Advance version of the first game). And since the release of Jet Set Radio Future on Xbox, the tagger has appeared in a number of SEGA games such as SEGA Superstars Tennis, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing or even SEGA Heroes.
