Gran Turismo 7 has received a lot of criticism lately – not because of the gameplay qualities, but because of the ecosystem that generates immense grind and expensive microtransactions. The new patch brings first improvements.
There was a beating for Gran Turismo 7, and plenty of it. Expensive microtransactions, expensive vehicles, few rewards for the races – all this caused frustration among fans until Polyphony Digital finally promised improvement. A first patch that was released today is intended to make life a little easier for the players.
The patch notes are long, but the following components are interesting for annoyed players. So the rewards for World Circuit, Arcade and Custom races have been increased. At the same time, three new events have been integrated that should also flush more credits into your coffers, namely World Touring Car 600 Tokyo Expressway East Clockwise, World Touring Car 700 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit and World Touring Car 800 Sardegna Road Track A.
Also new is The Human Comedy for missions, which includes one-hour races and is available from Collector’s Level 23. You can collect up to 1.2 million credits per event. It’s a good thing that the maximum credit limit has also been increased to 100 million.
Apart from that, a number of bug fixes and optimizations have been implemented, including an improvement in vehicle physics on off-road tracks. The entire Gran Turismo 7 update 1.11 patch notes you can read about it on the official website.
