In Battlefield 2042, hidden speakers now hint at futuristic content for Season 3. What is behind it, we summarize here.

Hidden speakers tell a story
Portable speakers have been appearing in hard-to-reach places on various maps for a long time. So far these have not seemed to have any function, but for a few days a tale from Specialist Crawford has been heard there. You can see and hear all the places and story snippets here:

These rather ambiguous indications were later accidentally confirmed by DICE itself. The description of an official YouTube video in China apparently contained detailed information about the content of Season 3.
What can we expect in Season 3?
New Weapons, Vehicles and Specialist
The well-known and reliable dataminer Temporyal summarizes the findings from the video description on Twitter. The third season will be called Escalation and will include the following content:
- New weapons: Two new weapons, the NVK-S22 Shotgun, and the Rorsch MK-4 Railgun. Battlefield veterans will pay particular attention to the second weapon: Because you could already use a predecessor model of this experimental weapon in the DLC Final Stand in Battlefield 4. With its particularly fast projectile speed, it was mainly used at longer distances.
This is what the railgun looked like in Battlefield 4, there is no picture of the successor model yet.
- New tank: A new vehicle will be available with the EMKV90 Tor tank. This is also equipped with a state-of-the-art railgun, which is probably far more powerful than the infantry model.
- Neuer Specialist: This is probably called Rasheed Zain and has a special gadget, the XM370A Airburst. This is probably similar to Battlefield 4’s XM25 grenade launcher, which allowed you to target enemies hidden behind cover. In addition, Rasheed should regenerate his health faster after a kill.
- New card: Also details on the new map,

Battlefield 2042 shows more classes and map reworks, announces release in Gamepass
Among other things, the return of the class system is planned, and further map reworks are to be published. There are also more vault weapons for the regular modes.
