The giant Hasbro unveiled its Marvel Legends character this Wednesday March 22, 2023, that of the version of the game by Dedicated to Miles Morales. The official description of the product then hinted at a big surprise as far as the story of this particularly anticipated turning point sequel is concerned. A message that quickly charmed fans, but beware of disappointments.
Multiverse in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?
Leaks follow each other for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. While an actor unveiled the game’s release window yesterday, it’s now a famous toymaker spilling the beans over one of the most surprising aspects of the game’s history. Hasbro has in fact unveiled its official character of Miles Morales, in which we see him in a costume essentially similar to that of the first episode, wearing electric gloves. The specialized side CBR was able to get my hands on the object in question, discovering in advance the description that accompanies the toy. It is then written in black and white that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will also enter the multiverse.
The product thus declares that the new Spider-Man will discover “ Allies and foes across the multiverse and back home in New York while working alongside his mentor, Peter Parker. The description also mentions the “Venom Power” gloves, which electrify Miles’ hands. The news quickly made the rounds on the Internet last night and made headlines. Fans have begun to envision the biggest casting leaps, with some even hoping for a small appearance from Wolverine to tease their next PS5 game.
Big mistake by Hasbro
Unfortunately, Hasbro confirmed that it was a giant dumpling. The mention of the multiverse in the official product description was an error “that does not reflect the story being told in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,” a manufacturer representative told US media after the news gained momentum.
In other words, someone at the company has been looking into the Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse movie, which will feature cameo appearances from characters from the game. It will take a little more patience to get news about the PS5 exclusivity. If we’re to believe Venom’s interpreter, the game should benefit from a major update.
