After a significant delay last year, Flashback 2 of Microids has finally set its release date. It will be released in November 2023 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.
This is a sequel to its classic platformer with cinematic overtones that surprised in the early 90s of the last century. Although the original game was purely 2D (despite the use of the rotoscope), Flashback 2 it’s more of a 2.5D title. Conrad always pans left and right, but can also pan down the Z axis, depending on the level. Some sections even feel like shooting arenas, which is an interesting change of pace from the laid-back original gameplay.
A new trailer is also available, showing gameplay snippets with Conrad still trapped and the infamous holocubes. Now he will try to find Ian, venturing through five levels to stop the Morphs’ next sinister plan.
