This 2023 has been a great year for Xbox. Not only in terms of new releases, but also in the reveal of their next games. The most recent is Blade, which could arrive in 2027, but in June Microsoft also showed us the first trailer for South of Midnight, the new project from Compulsion Games.
A game of which we were able to see an incredible cinematic which introduced us to its protagonist and which made us want to know more about this proposal from the creators of We Happy Few. A title that could arrive in 2024 even if it is not yet confirmed and that he would already be working on his DLC.
South of Midnight would expand its proposal with at least one DLC
As Xbox Era founder Shpeshal Nick comments, Compulsion Games would splitting into two development teams to begin work on the game’s first DLC. In this way, one team would complete the development of South of Midnight, while a second team would focus on creating and developing this first additional content for the game.
Of course, this is just a rumor that neither Microsoft nor Compulsion Games have confirmed at this time. As we always recommend, we should take this type of information with a grain of salt, regardless of the reliability of the source, as plans may change internally within the study. Of course, we wouldn’t be surprised if South of Midnight had additional DLC, something common in all major releases.

South of Midnight will arrive on a date to be determined on Xbox Series X|S and PC, in addition to being available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
