You all know Arkane Austin and Bethesda had a flop with the release of redfall. In the face of that failure, Microsoft, which bought Bethesda in 2018, wanted to calm down about the studio’s future.
In an interview with Axios, Xbox Studios head Matt Booty said Arkane will remain open and will continue to support the development of redfall with updates and additional content. He also added that the game has a good audience on Xbox Game Pass. Still, Matt Booty knowingly ignores Redfall when he talks about 2023!
We had some shortcomings last year, but I think we’ve turned the tide when 2023 arrives. I’m very pleased with the launch of Hi-Fi Rush, we have Minecraft Legends which is doing well and Age of Empires which is continuing to appear on console… and as we saw today we will have Forza Motorsport and Starfield this fall .
