Developer Kinetic Games narrows down the release date for the console port of Phasmophobia and confirms a price increase.
Last year, the horror title Phasmophobia was supposed to receive a port for the current console generation. However, developer Kinetic Games postponed this indefinitely.
Now the British studio has come forward with new information. According to the report, the co-op horror hit will finally be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation VR2 in October. However, the release date has not yet been revealed.
The ports are supposed to be up to date with the PC version. It is also said that future updates will be released on all platforms in parallel. Furthermore, a cross-play function will ensure that all players can go ghost hunting together from the release.
Apart from that, the British developer announced that it would increase the prices for the Early Access title on all platforms. The team justified this with the numerous contents that have been added since the release in autumn 2020. The playing time has increased considerably since then.
Phasmophobia is currently available for $13.99. The price is set to rise to $19.99 later this year. Kinetic Games has also ruled out a release on Xbox Game Pass for the time being.
