A Slipknot video interview about their collaboration in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance has been released.
ATLUS announces the last of two videos for the upcoming RPG Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, featuring a guest appearance by legendary heavy metal band Slipknot.
In this video, Slipknot band members – Clown, Eloy Casagrande, and the New Guy – talk about their relationships with their masks, as well as the Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance-inspired masks created by Jim Ojala of Ojala Productions and featured in the first video.
In this video, the Slipknot members talk about their impressions of the masks, which are inspired by the game’s demons Gurulu, Daemon, and Loup-Garou. They also talk about their unique perspective on masks, the iconography of the demons in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, and how their own masks influence the band’s creative process.

The original Shin Megami Tensei V, released in 2021 for the Nintendo Switch, begins with the protagonist waking up after finding the scene of a gruesome murder and then being buried and passing out.
He finds himself in an apocalyptic wasteland where a war is raging between angels and demons. Before bloodthirsty demons can attack him, a savior suddenly appears and he merges with him to form a powerful being that is neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.
The Shin Megami Tensei series has a rich history in the gaming industry and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2023.
