Immerse yourself in the futuristic world of Nobody Wants To Die, an interactive noir crime story set in a dystopian New York City that explores immortality and the dangers of transhumanism.
For the original music, award-winning Polish composer Mikolai Stroinski (Age of Empires IV, Diablo Immortal, The Witcher 3, Metamorphosis, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter) created an elegant blend of live orchestra, jazz instruments and analogue synthesizers that reflects the game’s distinctive visual aesthetic and inspirations from neo-noir cinema, immersing players even deeper into this innovative sci-fi experience with rich, evocative soundscapes.
“The process of creating the music for Nobody Wants To Die was a long and inspiring journey. It took me a while to decide on the color of the soundtrack. In the beginning I didn’t want to include the synth colors and wanted to limit myself to the orchestral sound.”
“But the game silently insisted, so I gave in. As soon as I struck the first chord, I felt things falling into place. The very first piece I composed (which now bears the title of the game) contained the melody that I used as the theme for the entire game, either in its entirety or in fragments. I’m very happy that Critical Hot Games invited me to do this project.”
“This allowed me to awaken the jazz musician in me, who is sleeping but always happy to participate in my creative process,” Mikolai Stroinski.
Nobody Wants To Die is available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The soundtrack is now available worldwide via Materia Music on all Streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp and more.
